Meet the Broadway Palm ‘White Christmas’ ensemble

ensemble-01On the Broadway Palm’s main stage now through Christmas Day is Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Included in the enthusiastic cast of the show is an ensemble that features nearly a dozen singer/dancers.

Mary Baron, who also plays Bob Wallace and Phil Davis’ seamstress, is a New York-based singer, ensemble-02dancer and actor. She is thrilled to be a cast member in White Christmas as the 1954 film inspired her grandparents to immigrate from Malta to America. Her acting credits include Lillian in Simply Gershwin, the soprano caroler in Holiday Nights, Mae Jones in Street Scene, Maria in The Sound of Music, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Lady Larken in Once Upon a Mattress and Cosette in Les Miserables. She also boasts opera and concert credits as well.

Broadway Palm patrons may have seen Sarah Cammarata in previous seasons at theater, but most recently as the Mistress in Evita, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, and Ellie May Chipley in Show Boat. Sarah has also worked regionally at Flat Rock Play House and Shenandoah ensemble-03Summer Music Theatre. In addition to her work in the ensemble, Sarah appears in Scene Five as Mrs. Snoring Man, one of the passengers on the train to Pine Tree, Vermont. Sarah earned her BFA in musical theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory.

Tony Conaty also does double duty in White Christmas. In addition to being in the ensemble, he serves as Wallace & Davis’ dance captain. Tony’s regional credits include Northern Stage and New London Barn Playhouse. He received his BFA in musical theatre from Ithaca College in 2015. His acting credits include Jack in Into the Woods (Diablo Theatre Company), Tommy Djilas in The Music Man (New London Barn Playhouse), Neleus in ensemble-06Mary Poppins (Northern Stage), Von Aster berg in The Student Prince (New London Barn Playhouse), Feuilly/Bamatabois in Les Miserables (New London Barn Playhouse), US Barnaby in Hello Dolly! (Diablo Theatre Company), Young Hoofer in Singin’ in the Rain (New London Barn Playhouse), Lord in Cinderella (Ithaca Ballet), Brad in Hairspray (Contra Costa Musical Theatre), the men’s ensemble in both 42nd Street and The Will Rogers Follies and Twin #1 in Peter Pan (Diablo Theatre Company).

ensemble-04White Christmas is New York-performer Pedro Kaawaloa’s third show at Broadway Palm. Besides the ensemble, Pedro is on the train in Scene Five as Mr. Snoring Man. His regional credits include The Fantasticks, South Pacific, The Addams Family, Evita and Sister Act. While performing is Pedro’s first love, he also music directs, conducts, ensemble-05plays piano, teaches and composes. He most recently music directed Cabaret and First Date at the Lake Dillon Theater in Silverthorne, Colorado.

Keith McCoy is Jimmy, the Conductor and a member of the White Christmas ensemble. Broadway Palm audiences will remember Keith from ensemble-07Evita, as Curtis in Sister Act, and Joe in Show Boat. Keith has performed with regional theatres, summerstock companies, national tours and theme parks throughout the United States. “To be gainfully employed in an area of work you love is truly a blessing,” states Keith.

ensemble-08Anthony Christopher Milfelt hales from St. Louis and is happy to be back on the Broadway Palm stage after making his debut in Evita. His other acting credits include Chip in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a member of the ensemble in Spamalot, the doctor, bailiff and a member of the ensemble in Chicago, a member of the ensemble in The Sound of Music, and Callahan in ensemble-09Legally Blonde.

The last time Cody E. Olsen was at Broadway Palm, he was Sebastian in Who’s Under Where? at The Off Broadway Palm. Most recently, Cody was Young Carriere (Dance Captain) in Yeston and Kopit’s Phantom, Emmett Mantella in The Ever After – A Musical, and in the ensemble in in Mary ensemble-10Poppins at Dutch Apple Theatre.

Kristina Miranda Sloan is making her Broadway Palm debut. From Tucson, Arizona, Kristina has a theatre degree from the University of Arizona. She is the cocktail waitress as well as a member of the ensemble.

Also in the ensemble are Kiersten Benzing and Morgan McGhee, who also get separate billing as the Oxydol girls, Rita and Rhoda.
