Sanderson featured by Arts Center Theatre’s ‘Afternoon of Play Readings’
Leslie Sanderson is an accomplished actor and director. She appeared most recently Hollywood Arms. But she is also a gifted playwright, as evidenced by the fact that the Arts Center Theatre on Marco Island is featuring two of her plays, Other Priorities and Infrequent Flyers, in An Afternoon of Play Readings on August 27.
With Other Priorities, Leslie delves into our pervasive moral apathy toward gun control and school safety while in Infrequent Flyers she explores the intricacies of human interactions in an overcrowded flight that places a no-frills passenger and her service animal alongside a full-price passenger that tests the limits of good will and airline regulations. Under the skilled direction of Marilee Warner, these performances are set to come alive on stage
with remarkable depth and emotion.
Leslie’s plays have captured international attention, won many competitions, and have been produced in the USA, Canada, England, Australia, UAE, and New Zealand.
