‘Charlie Brown’ play dates, times and ticket information
Play: You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown
Book: Clark Gesner
Music & Lyrics: Clark Gesner & Andrew Lippa
Genre: Musical; Comedy
Synopsis: Bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder, who doesn’t give her the time of day. Perfectionist Sally is still mocking blanket-toting Linus. Snoopy is in the doghouse, and the “blockhead”
himself, Charlie Brown, is in rare form. Brief vignettes span the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair. Subjects ranging from loneliness, jealousy, inferiority and self-doubt to fantasy, sibling rivalry and the need for nurturing and acceptance emerge from the lyrics that issue from the mouths of these six-year-olds and their dog. Portrayed by older actors, Charlie Brown and cohorts certainly have much to say about the secret concerns and unbridled joys of their nascent, questioning minds.
Historical Note: This charming piece of work has a long history. Its original run was off Broadway at Theater 80 in the East Village beginning in 1967, where it settled in for a smashing run of 1697 performances.

Tom Hall is both an amateur artist and aspiring novelist who writes art quest thrillers. He is in the final stages of completing his debut novel titled "Art Detective," a story that fictionalizes the discovery of the fabled billion-dollar Impressionist collection of Parisian art dealer Josse Bernheim-Jeune, thought by many to have perished during World War II when the collection's hiding place, Castle de Rastignac in southern France, was destroyed by the Wehrmacht in reprisal for attacks made by members of the Resistance operating in the area. A former tax attorney, Tom holds a bachelor's degree as well as both a juris doctorate and masters of laws in taxation from the University of Florida. Tom lives in Estero, Florida with his fiancee, Connie, and their four cats.
