T.G.I.M. returns November 6

Nov 2017 TGIM 01Thank God for Indie Mondays returns to the grand atrium of the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center on November 6. That’s when hosts Eric Raddatz and Melissa DeHaven will screen a fresh batch of indie films that have been submitted for inclusion in the Fort Myers Film Festival.

While there will be celebrity judges on hand to lead the discussion after each screening, Eric and Melissa want to hear from you. What was your take on the film? What worked or didn’t work for you? What did you love or hate? Should the film be included in the film festival next March or not?

Your opinion matters. Your vote counts. And as often as not, the audience picks up on Eric TGIM Oct 2017 (02)Lfacets of the film that escape the attention of Eric and the judges. It’s all part of the fun of “intellectualization.”

There’s also some pretty amazing entertainment, as Eric and Melissa introduce Fort Myers audiences to some of the best talent in the area. And there’s always the opportunity to rub shoulders with filmmakers, actors and other cineastes at the after-party, where you can share an adult beverage Melissa TGIM Oct 2017 (01)L(or two) and knosh on discounted appetizers at Twisted Vine Bistro.

This month, Brad Cozza, Char Loomis and John Davis will serve as T.G.I.M.’s celebrity judges with Emma Arnold and John Davis providing musical entertainment. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the films starting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students.
