Jason Parrish one of T.G.I.M. celeb judges for August

Radishes 2Thank God for Indie Mondays (T.G.I.M.) returns to the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center on Monday, August 7, with a panel of celebrity judges that includes Jason Parrish.

Now beginning his 12th season as an ensemble member and resident artist with Florida Rep, Jason Parrish is and serves as the company’s Associate Director. With Florida Rep, Parrish was seen most recently in the regional theatre premiere of Mark Shanahan’s adaptation of Georges Feydeau’s The Dingdong. Other acting credits include Twelve Angry Men, Dividing the Estate, Around the World in 80 Days, Clybourne Park, The Hound of the Baskervilles, 2014’s nationally acclaimed production of Arsenic and Old Lace, Miracle on South Division Street, Ken Ludwig’s Jason Comments 10Lend Me a Tenor, Noises Off, The Big Bang, and David Sedaris’ The Santaland Diaries for six consecutive seasons. A member of Actors’ Equity Association, Parrish also serves at the literary manager and artistic director of Florida Rep’s annual PlayLab Festival of new works and emerging voices.

With Florida Rep, Parrish’s directing credits include Putnam County Spelling Bee, A Christmas Story, The Fantasticks, Tru, [title of show] and The Shape of Things, as well as the world premiere of Journey to Oz, A Year with Frog and Toad, How I Became a Pirate, Jason Comments 04Schoolhouse Rock Live!, The Mischief Makers and The New Kid with Florida Rep’s Children’s Theatre Series. Other directing credits include Avenue Q with Ocean State Theatre Company, It Runs in the Family with the Strauss Theatre on Sanibel Island and the regional premiere of Forbidden Broadway with Prather Entertainment. His acting work with other theatres includes West Virginia’s Greenbrier Valley Theatre (Lucky Stiff), Miami’s Actors’ Playhouse (Married Alive), Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach (Greetings!) and Rhode Jason Comments 06Island’s Theatre by the Sea (The 39 Steps), as well as two special engagements with the New York Philharmonic’s Young People’s Concert Series at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.

Jason last appeared as a celebrity judge for T.G.I.M. last season in October, when he joined “Diva Diaries” Stephanie Davis and filmmaker John Scoular on the panel and musical entertainer Al Holland. For August’s T.G.I.M., Parrish joins filmmaker Jason Comments 12Tyler Shore and Mercedes Gutierrez as a judge. Frankie Colt provides the evening’s entertainment.
