Christar Damiano ‘Crystal Bowls’ sizzle reel on view at Biennial show

Healing Hands owner Christar Damiano has a sizzle reel on display at the Alliance for the Arts this month. Damiano is a 2022 City of Fort Myers Individual Artist Grant Recipient.

The New York City native was introduced to the healing arts while living in Hawaii some 35 years ago. Since then, Christar has traveled to over 50 countries learning different healing arts and massage modalities, including massage techniques in India, Thailand, Hawaiian Lomi/Lomi, and from a Reiki master in Africa, just to name a few.

In the course of her studies, Christar discovered that movement and sound are essential components of the healing process. The different emotions vibrate at different levels. If blocked, or left unexpressed, they can create dis-ease in the body. With this in mind, Christar has developed healing plans that utilize crystal bowls that resonate with the chakras to allow for optimum healing in the body.

In the latter regard, sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, tones and other sonic vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind and spirit. The sound frequencies create a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, nervous system rebalancing and emotional release.

Christar believes in the healing the whole person, not just the physical body. She teaches classes on the healing power of plant medicine and EFT tapping – which is another way to break through old patterns and change them to live out your best life.

Christar is a Certified Life Coach and puts together one-on-one healing packages that include Massage, Vibrational Sound Healing, Reiki, Energy Balancing, Essential Oil Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Micro Current Therapy and Shamanic journeying.

“I believe all energy is interconnected, and that we all have the power to heal themselves; not just our physical body, but our emotional body as well,” Christar professes. “I inspire people to create a life they LOVE living.”

Quoting Eckhart Tolle, Christar also believes that “the most important journeys are the ones that we make inward.”
