Twelfth Night
Shakespeare returns to Lab Theater in April/May 2016 with Twelfth Night, as adapted by Annette Trossbach. The plot is timeless. Orsino is infatuated with Olivia, but she is interested in the messenger-boy Orsino sends to plead his case. Unfortunately, the “boy,” Cesario, isn’t a boy at all! And, to complicate things further, she’s in love with Orsino! This comedy is full of the best of Shakespeare’s characters including narcissists, cross-dressers, drunks and even a Puritan. Performances will take place on April 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, and May 5, 6 and 7 at 8:00 p.m., with 2:00 p.m. matinees on May 1 and May 7. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of each play.
