Setting: River City, Iowa, 1912

Synopsis:  The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.

  • 6:00 p.m. on October 7 and 14; and
  • 1:00 p.m. on October 7, 8, 14 and 15.

Marco Island Arts Centre Theatre Play Dates and Times:  Music Man runs October 18-21 at Arts Center Theatre at Marco Town Center, 1089 N. Collier Blvd. #432 on Marco Island, with performances at:

  • 7:30 on Wednesday, October 18, Thursday, October 19, Friday, October 20 & Saturday, October 21; and
  • 1:00 matinee on Saturday, October 21.
