Mary E. Hodges is Jory in ‘Disgraced’

Disgraced 01On stage in the Artstudio Theater at Florida Rep November 10 through December 10 is Ayad Akhtar’s hard-hitting play Disgraced. Mary E. Hodges plays the role of Jory.

Mary is delighted to be back at Florida Rep (Best of Enemies). She was last seen onstage in Crystal Skillman’s premier of The Test at ART/NY in the lead role of Ada, which was produced by Project Y.

Mary directed three projects this past summer: Harlem9’s celebrated 48 Hour Plays at The National Black Theatre The Ballad O’ Nigg-O-Lee, Stacey Rose; New Perspective Theatre’s Short Play Lab Sex With Robots, Holly Hepp-Galvan; and Queens Theatre: The Park Plays GOAT, Ngozi Anyanwu & RACE DAY, Don Nguyen.

Disgraced 06In New York City Mary has performed at Here Art Space, EST, New Federal Theatre, The Lark, Bric/Target Margin Theatre, Gideon Productions, Harlem Shakespeare Festival, Judith Shakespeare Company. Regionally she has worked at Berkeley Repertory, The National Black Theatre Festival, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, Long Wharf, and The Berkshire Theatre Festival.

Mary has a MFA in Acting from The University of Connecticut.
