Play: Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery

Playwright: Ken (Lend Me a Tenor) Ludwig

Synopsis: When his British cousin suddenly dies, a romantic and sympathetic Texan becomes the last living Baskerville and heir to a mansion and nice piece of property on the moors in Devonshire, a position in Parliament, and all of the accumulated Baskerville wealth. The cousin has been murdered by the mythic hound that haunts the family due to a witching curse. Asked for help, Holmes assigns the case to Watson, who accompanies the American to Baskerville Hall and agrees to stay with him. Upon his arrival in England, he is met by a procession of dastardly and confusing people with whom he will be confronted and confounded for the next two hours.

Play Dates and Times: February 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m., with 2:00 p.m. matinees on Sunday, February 16 and 23, 2020.

Audio Described Performance: An audio described show is available on February 23. For theater-goers who are blind or have moderate to severe vision loss, the Alliance will provide a specially-trained describer who verbalizes what’s happening on stage during pauses in dialogue. The describer uses a headset microphone, while individuals using the service listen through a receiver with a single earpiece. Reservation of headsets is required prior to the show by calling 239-939-2787.
