Fort Myers Film Festival kicks off Season 12 with Labor Day TGIM
The Fort Myers Film Festival kicks off Season 12 with the resumption of T.G.I.M. on Labor Day (Monday, September 6). As in years past, T.G.I.M. gives area cineastes a look at how the Fort Myers Film Festival views submissions and a voice in the selection process.
“This is one of the highlights of our season,” says Melissa Tschari DeHaven, producer and co-host of T.G.I.M. and the Fort Myers Film Festival. “It’s so much fun! Everyone loves coming out on Monday nights. There’s always something happening that you wouldn’t 
expect on a weeknight.”
The house opens for cocktails at 6:30 p.m. Screening start promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the Grand Atrium of the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, which is located at 2301 First Street in the downtown Fort Myers River District. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students.
This month’s celebrity judges are dancer, choreographer, producer/ founder of Glam Bam Burlesque Rose Burstein, actress Cassidy Reyes and the Collaboratory’s Tessa LeSage.
Be sure to bring your ticket from the event and join the afterparty at Blu Sushi downtown, where the conversation continues over the best sushi you will ever eat, 
and great cocktails among interesting film lovers.

About the Author
Tom Hall is both an amateur artist and aspiring novelist who writes art quest thrillers. He is in the final stages of completing his debut novel titled "Art Detective," a story that fictionalizes the discovery of the fabled billion-dollar Impressionist collection of Parisian art dealer Josse Bernheim-Jeune, thought by many to have perished during World War II when the collection's hiding place, Castle de Rastignac in southern France, was destroyed by the Wehrmacht in reprisal for attacks made by members of the Resistance operating in the area. A former tax attorney, Tom holds a bachelor's degree as well as both a juris doctorate and masters of laws in taxation from the University of Florida. Tom lives in Estero, Florida with his fiancee, Connie, and their four cats.
