Macy Magas
Macy Magas plays the part of Beth March for Fort Myers Theatre in Little Women. Under the direction of Ted Wioncek III, the Canterbury sophomore makes Beth readily accessible to the audience, which becomes enamored of her very early in the musical because of her kind, sweet, supportive disposition and steadfast dedication to her family. On a metaphorical level (spoiler alert), Beth’s death toward
the end of the play represents the demise of the 19th century Victorian heroine, but viscerally, evokes a floodgate of tears because of Magas’ sensitive portrayal.
Macy has been performing since the age of nine and has been seen in several local productions. However, Little Women marks her Fort Myers Theatre debut.
She appeared most recently in the role of Cady Heron in Mean Girls at Canterbury School.
